Last night Ross, Ryan and myself dusted off our dresses and tuxedos and attended The Dorset Tourism Awards Ceremony at the Bovington Tank Museum. We were shortlisted finalists for the Dorset Restaurant / Bistro of the Year alongside The Eastbury Hotel in Sherborne, Koh Thai Tapas in Bournemouth and The Pig on the Beach in Studland.
The judging process was rigorous and involved three stages which took into consideration our application form, a review of our website, Trip Advisor reviews, and social media such as Facebook and Twitter and also a mystery visit. This is the third year that we have entered the awards, achieving a Bronze Award in the 2014 and 2015.
The ceremony itself was attended by over 250 people to celebrate the best of Dorset’s tourism businesses in over twenty categories and was a fantastic evening. Prosecco, lovely food and tanks for the boys – what more could we ask for?! They did keep us waiting until the very end though as our category was the penultimate award but it was certainly worth waiting for as were awarded joint Gold award winners!
Needless to say Ross and I are absolutely thrilled! Thanks to everyone at The Dorset Tourism Awards and Katherine and the team at Dorset Food and Drink who sponsored our award. Special thanks of course though goes to our brilliant, hardworking DBCo Team – we did it!
